- I'm still amazed by how effective Evapo-rust is.
- Got 1 new 2.50x18 Battlax plus 2 new IRC 2.50x18 tires for $25 on eBay (Marty in the sunset)
- Painted
- brake stay - black
- battery cover - ivory
- steering stem plastic hood - ivory (after fixing the crack with E600 epoxy)
- stem nut washer - black
- Had intended to flip the rear brake arm from an upward orientation to downward (which I thought was the norm), but in the down position, it seems to knock against the exhaust mount. Odd. But since I had everything off, I ended up sending it for an Evapo-rust bath
- Unboxed
- new head cover - one fin had a small crack
- new 44" brake cable for low bar - too short on the current bar, as expected
- The front brake arm had heavy corrosion/damage on the outward side, decided to do a little experiment and paint it metallic.
- Verified the cushion mounts are all 10mm x 1.25 fine thread
- Installed the new banjo bolt into the oil pipe pump. Still not 100% clear how the oil is supposed to flow through, though.
