After being off for a couple months, just went down to get back into the swing of things. Ended up only tin foiling Ivy's rims, but still felt like a lot was accomplished.

Ivy: New Front Wheel
A long time coming, but Ivy finally gets her new front wheel: new spokes (actually 35 new, 1 old), good clean rim, new rim strip and tube, and the good IRC tire.
The stool under the engine once again makes the front wheel swap a breeze.

Ivy: Garage Truing
After getting the new rim all laced up, I took it down to mount it, but only then did I realize that I had never tightened up the spokes. Brought the stand down to the garage and just tightened everything up and trued it again.

Finally finished all 36 holes. Finally.
Started truing and got it from a 6mm runout / 2mm hop down to 0.4mm/1.0mm.

Continued Dremel'ing with the silicon carbide. Used up another 4 bits. It takes 150-200 "rotations" inside the hole to get it wide enough.

Ivy: Silicon Carbide
Silicon carbide bits seemed better, but they still wear down pretty quickly. The one I had only lasted for 5 holes before breaking. I ordered another 20 from Amazon.

Spares: New Front Spare
Unboxed the new front wheel that came courtesy of a Yahoo group member ($70 shipped). Pretty decent rim and hub. Came with a 17mm oil seal, Nachi sealed bearings and a Bridgestone "safety" tire and tube.
Oddly, the nipples seem smaller than 5mm and a few were frozen. More concerning, though, is the fact that there seemed to very little free play in the distance collar, making it impossible to get enough of a ledge to use the screwdriver to hammer out the bearing. Will need to figure that out...
