Had a productive Roloc session with the "good" tank.

Viola: First Painting

Decided to paint the fork bridge, just to get a first look at how the color sits on the bike.  Also need to start nailing down a very precise painting process before I get to the bigger pieces.

This time around, I sanded down the old paint with 220, then did 2 coats of primer and about 3 coats of paint.  Finally light-light-heavy clear coat.

I think I need to spend more time prepping the surface because any blemish just gets highlighted by the paint.

In between coats, also finished stripping down the fork ears.

Spares: Working on Old Parts

Unboxed the new swingarm, and realized it was from the same bike that the grey-painted forks had come from.  Good condition, barely any rust (or maybe the rust had just been painted over).

Test fitted the new forks into the new steering head.  All good.

Started Roloc'ing the steering head and found it was pretty fiddly to get all the recesses, nooks and crannies.

Another Roloc session around the ears and front of the frame.

Also finally got that toggle switch out!  Just Dremeled it with a cutting wheel until the outer ring fell off and freed the switch.
