Ivy: Sprocket Restored

After spending a few days in an Evapo-Rust dip, the rear sprocket was looking very tidy.  Swapped it out with the eBay one.

Also tin-foiled the front and rear rims, and also added the new clutch cable which was sold with the correct number for the low bar (40") but turned out to be a high bar version at 44" overall.

Viola: Vomit

Started out by cleaning Viola's front rim, knowing it's a good wheel.  Though I guess there's no reason to let the rear rim go to rot, even if the hub is bad.  I could always just get a new hub, clean up the spokes, and re-lace the whole thing.  Good to do it once, anyway...

Then decided to clean out the interior of Viola's frame, knowing there was still some of that old mouse's nest hidden inside.  Didn't know what to expect...  I just aimed a jet of water in through the battery door and she ended up projectile vomiting all the crap out.  Some of it was even being forced out through the rear light wiring hole.  I also shot water into that hole to flush it out the other way.

Most of the debris came out of the battery side, though.  Nasty stuff.

Viola: Gas Tank Sanding

Working on the inner panels of the gas tank.  Strangely, one side was very rusty while the other was relatively clean.

Viola: Stripping Bottom-Left-Front

Very tricky section to strip.  Neither the large or small Roloc really seemed to be able to do it.  Ended up hand sanding with 80 grit, and even that couldn't get it 100% clean.

Spares: While You Wait...

In between coats of paint, started working on the early clutch cover.  Wet sanding with WD40 and 320 grit.

Spares: Clutch Cover Polishing

While waiting for paint to dry, figured I'd polish the new clutch cover.

I went from 400 straight to 1500/2000 only because I didn't have anything in between.  Might be good to get some 600/800/1000 to fill in the gaps.
